Arts in Lower School
In our Lower School art studio, children experience a wide variety of mediums. They gain a fundamental base they can use to express themselves creatively. This manifests itself in a progression of expanding knowledge and skills in areas of drawing, painting, printmaking, ceramics, textiles and three-dimensional art. Cross-curricular projects and exposure to art history and multicultural art round out the program.
Musically, our children are given a variety of options to develop their musical knowledge and skills. Every student has music class twice a week.
Those who want additional music opportunities can choose from a variety of vocal and instrumental activities – rock band, jazz band, chorus, and string and wind ensemble. Students have ample opportunities to perform within the school and in the broader community.
